My now ex gf of 5 years just broke up with me about 2 weeks ago…we started dating senior year of highschool and she has been a big part of my life..so she says that she wants to be single and feels like she has been in a relationship for so long and wants to not have to worry about what she is doing and feel how it is to worry just about herself..so im just wondering how after 5 years she can just throw the relationship b/c she feeels she is missing out on something..She wants to be able to go downtown 2-3 times a week and stay out until 5 am..I dont mind if she was going out once or twice a week but 2 3 or 4 times is a little much…so after about 3-4 days after she broke up with me we were still talking a little each day and she told me she feels like nothing is differnt…that the last 2 months of our relationship felt like a friendship…so I told her I am done pursuing her and talking to her that she needs to relaize if this is what she wants than fine but im gone..how can she d

BF AND I DRIFTING APART DUE TO COLLEGE?

so we started dating senior year, and now we just started college. In school we were together everyday & once summer came around, we kew it wasnt going to be the same we saw each other once a week or two. Once we were about to start college he told me he had long practices (football player) & that we should take a “pause” from the relationship because its the best thing for us.. we’re still together its just we wont be able to see or talk to each other as much. I started before him but i still made time for him (my schedule is really easy) but once he started we started talking less and less.. He has classes in the morning, practice in the evening to night. I feel like im in a big crowd waving my hands just trying to get his attention. He stopped txting me throughout the day & i sometimes have to call or text him so i can talk to him, if not i feel like he can go days without talking to me.. i know hes tired but dont deserve a txt or two? Theres times where goes to sleep early and doesnt tell me, so im waiting all damn day and night to get something from him. also if i ask to see him he always possibly but its too early to tell… weve been in school for a month &ive only seen him twice! He said only until the season’s over & we promised each other we’d be the till the end… I miss him like crazy, im lonely, i want that attention i used to get.. AM i needy? do you think he enjoys that he has a girl that waits for him? I love the guy so much & dnt want to lose him.. our one year is next month.. im even applying for jobs so i can take my mind off this situation.

For a whole year now, I’ve been in love with my boyfriend George. He’s 72 years old and I’m 26. In the gay community, there’s a huge “No Fat, No Femme, No Black” policy. I happen to be all of the above. I’m very feminine except I don’t dress in drag. I’m black. 5’8 and 340lbs. George is my first love, my first kiss, my first sexual experience etc. I’ve been ridiculed by other gay men ever since I came out and was old enough to date. George is fairly healthy for his age(I honestly thought he was about 55 when I met him) and no he does not have a bunch of money for those of you who stereotype people dating senior citizens solely for money. Our love is real. My family and friends don’t understand. He makes me happy. So, why is it wrong?

gf who swears she loves me wants a break for a little?

I know this is the typical “break” question. But ive read a ton of them on this site. we are both 19 years old, freshman in college. We started dating Senior year in highschool, and have been dating for a lil over a year. We are always perfect together. and honest with each other. We didnt have a falling out, or feel like we were fading apart. A week ago she said how much she missed me and cant wait to see me. She texts me all the time and calls and says i love you as much as possible, but after we hung out, had a great time, even had sex… she later says she wants a break. She claims it has nothing to do with me, and that shes not interested in other guys, and doesnt want a relationship. She said ” i want to try again with you but right now ive just been so uncertain about myself the past few weeks, about everything. I dont know about school, about my life, about my major, about us even. so i need to figure myself out first then we can try again” Should i just give her space, or like keep a casual relationship just hanging out every once in a while, like once a week in the summer and until then not at all since we goto different colleges. or should i just assume shes not going to want to get back together. Up until last week she wrote me cards and always said that we are gonna be together forever. im very confused
