I am 36 and am fairly recently divorced (8 months ago) after 9 years. I am finally ready to begin dating again, and have tested the waters a bit with that, to complete unsuccess. I am not that much into clubs/ bars, at least not to go by myself (which screams of looking for a hookup and ends in 1000 drunk losers coming up with cheesy lines) or to do the out-with-the-girls thing. My finances are quite tight right now, so the thought of joining a club of something I am interested in to meet people with similar interests is really not an option, as those things tend to be expensive. Does online dating work (if, so, what are websites that have people who are really interested in more than either cybersex or a quick roll-in-the-hay.)? My job is in an office where it is the same few people everyday, most of which are married or far older than I am. Any suggestions?
